Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has expressed his sincere condolences to Maxime Prévôt, Belgium's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, over the collision between a school bus and a train that killed four people in its northern area.
In a phone call, Sheikh Abdullah affirmed the UAE’s solidarity and full support for Belgium, its government and people, in the wake of this tragic incident.
The top diplomat also extended his condolences to the victims' families and wished a speedy recovery to all those injured.
The incident occurred after a train crashed into a school minivan at a level-crossing in the Belgian town of Buggenhout on Tuesday, killing four people including two special needs pupils, authorities said.
