The UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment has confirmed that no official permits have been issued for the import or sale of 'Uranus Star' bottled water, or any other products from the same brand.
The ministry also stated that the products have not been found in major retail outlets in the UAE.
This follows reports of contamination linked to the brand in Oman. In response, the ministry launched immediate verification procedures and tightened controls to ensure the product does not enter UAE markets.
Officials are urging the public to dispose of any 'Uranus Star' water they may have acquired from other sources and to avoid consumption, citing potential health risks.
