Dubai Police have intensified night patrolling in residential areas after several teenagers were caught doing dangerous stunts on quad or motor bikes.

The bikes were impounded, guardians summoned, police reports filed and necessary legal measures taken, Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs at Dubai Police added.

Dubai Police said they took action after receiving several complaints from residents about violations during the hours after iftar.

In the footage shared on Dubai Police's social media channel, teens are caught doing wheelies on their bikes.

Major General Al Mazrouei urged parents to take full responsibility and refrain their children from riding bikes on public roads or inside residential communities.

He added that most young riders do not fully understand the dangers of flouting traffic rules, especially in residential areas, posing a threat to themselves and that of other road users.
