Dubai is set to welcome back Logos Hope, the world's largest floating book fair, after it set sail from Basra in Iraq on Friday and docked in Ras Al Khaimah.
From April 18 to 23, the ship will be open for visitors at Dubai's Port Rashid, followed by a stop at Abu Dhabi's Marsa Mina, Port Zayed, from May 17 to June 5.
The admission is free and visitors can browse a diverse collection of 5,000 titles on board, covering various genres and subjects such as science, sports, cookery, arts, medicine, languages, faith, children's literature, academic texts, dictionaries and atlases.
The book fair will also offer activities such as cultural performances and a children's play. Recently, a new container of Arabic books was added to the collection.
Logos Hope has previously docked in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, attracting over 65,000 visitors in just 10 days at Cairo's Port Said.
The floating book fair has been in operation since 1970 and has visited 480 ports in over 150 countries, welcoming 49 million people.
