Dubai Municipality has opened registration for the 2026-2027 winter camping season in Al Ruwayyah, with capacity increasing by around 120 per cent to accommodate 600 camps.
The season runs from November 1 to April 30, offering UAE nationals more options for outdoor recreation and family activities.
New features include double-sized camping plots of up to 800 square metres, 50 dedicated caravan plots and 10 fully equipped camps available for daily rental.
The Municipality has also designated 10 spaces for winter events, family gatherings and seasonal markets, while creating new opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses to offer food, desert activities and recreational experiences.
Camping plots can be booked for periods of three to six months, with separate booking options for caravans and daily rental camps.
UAE nationals can register through Dubai Municipality's digital channels, including the winter camping portal and the DubaiNow app.
The initiative aims to develop Al Ruwayyah into a more diverse winter destination, supporting family recreation, community engagement and local businesses.
