As speculation around North Korea's Kim Jong-Un's whereabouts continue to grow, a special train possibly belonging to the leader has been spotted.

A Washington-based North Korea monitoring project has reviewed satellite images that showed the train, which is reserved for Kim's family, parked at the resort town of Wonsan.

"The train’s presence does not prove the whereabouts of the North Korean leader or indicate anything about his health but it does lend weight to reports that Kim is staying at an elite area on the country’s eastern coast," the report said.

Speculation about Kim's health first rose after he skipped a key anniversary event this month, with South Korean and US media reports suggesting he's in "grave danger" following a surgery.

Kim missed another national holiday, North Korea’s Military Foundation Day, on Saturday, adding to the confusion.
