The patient, a 29-year-old expatriate, was returning from abroad when his symptoms were suspected and diagnosed.
He has been isolated while receiving the necessary care, based on the adopted protocols.
The ministry said that it is taking appropriate measures to mitigate the spread of the virus through contact tracing and disease surveillance mechanisms.

The ministry has also set up a reporting mechanism for suspected cases at the Public Health Directorate, provided testing requirements, and adopted contact-tracing plans, in addition to providing vaccinations.
