Volkswagen (VW) has suspended three Research and Development (R&D) chiefs. They are of its core VW brand, luxury division Audi and sports-car maker Porsche, according to sources. The German automobile’s supervisory board recently agreed to make a number of unidentified employees go on leave until details of VW’s emissions cheating scandal were clarified and resolved. Volkswagen recently named Porsche head Matthius Mueller as its new CEO as it emerged that 2.8 million vehicles in Germany may have been affected by the scandal.
