Dubai Duty Free expects to exceed AED 5.1 billion in sales and rehire 2,000 work staff in 2022.
That's according to Colm McLoughlin, CEO of the Dubai Duty Free, who confirmed this in an exclusive interview with Dubai Eye 103.8's Business Breakfast.
When the Dubai Duty Free started in 1983, they had 100 staff members and a business of AED 72 million. In comparison, the company recorded a sales figure of AED 7.2 billion in 2019.
With a positive outlook, McLoughlin looks past the dip caused by the pandemic.
As for staffing requirements, McLoughlin promises a massive hiring plan in the following months.
Dubai Airport recently re-opened all its infrastructure to keep up with the demand for travel.
With EXPO 2020 and a variety of campaigns from Dubai Tourism attracting visitors, passenger count milestones are also being crossed with ease.
