The UAE Cyber Security Council has announced that national cybersecurity systems successfully blocked multiple ransomware attacks aimed at public and private sectors.
The attacks aimed to breach data and lock digital systems.
Emergency cybersecurity systems, working with authorities, prevented nearly 200,000 cyberattacks daily. The hackers and their origins were identified and neutralized with advanced protection methods.
The Council highlighted a rise in AI-driven threats, including deepfakes and advanced malware, making cyberattacks harder to detect. They stressed the importance of following cybersecurity standards to protect against these growing risks.
Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the Cyber Security Council, reassured the public that the UAE's digital infrastructure is equipped to handle emerging threats and urged everyone to remain vigilant, avoid suspicious links, and protect personal data.
