UAE President expands FDF’s role

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a law amending the Family Development Foundation (FDF)’s mandate to enhance family stability and support the elderly.

The new law assigns FDF's key responsibilities, including:

Developing guidance and awareness programs for the elderly.
Providing social services such as home care and support for caretakers.
Offering volunteering opportunities for the elderly and creating social clubs to promote their wellbeing.
Creating databases of the elderly and conducting research on related issues.

This law aims to improve the quality of life for elderly citizens and strengthen family structures in Abu Dhabi.
