The Ministry of Health and Prevention has confirmed there are currently no cases of Ebola in the UAE and says health authorities remain on high alert as they continue to monitor the situation closely.

The ministry said it is coordinating with the World Health Organization and international health authorities regarding a traveller who visited the UAE before later testing positive for Ebola after arriving in Uganda several days later.

Officials stressed that the individual did not visit any healthcare facility in the UAE during their stay in the country.

As a precaution, authorities activated established public health measures, including risk assessments, contact tracing, and other preventive procedures in line with national and international health standards.

The ministry reaffirmed that no Ebola cases have been recorded in the UAE and said the country continues to maintain a high level of preparedness and health surveillance.

It also urged the public to rely on official sources for information and avoid sharing unverified reports or rumours.
