The UAE has confirmed 1,148 new cases of COVID-19 from 87,635 tests.
Another 579 people have recovered, taking the overall recovery tally to 159,711.
Meanwhile, two more patients have died, bringing the total number of fatalities to 594.
A total of 177,577 cases have been diagnosed in the UAE so far, out of which 17,272 are currently active.
