The home favourite lost a gargantuan semi-final to defending champion Nikoloz Basilashvili.
Basilashvili came from behind to win 6-4 4-6 7-6 (7-5) in a match that lasted three hours and seven minutes.
The Georgian will now play Russia's Andrey Rublev in Sunday's final.
