Emirates Airline has extended the suspension of commercial operations until Saturday, March 7, while continuing to operate a limited number of passenger repatriation and freighter flights.
In an update on its official website, the Dubai carrier confirmed that "all scheduled Emirates flights to and from Dubai remain suspended until 2359hrs UAE time on March 7 due to airspace closures across the region".
The airline said it continued to operate a limited number of flights to accommodate passengers with "earlier bookings as priority".
It added "customers transiting in Dubai will only be accepted for travel if their connecting flight is operating".
Travellers are also reminded "not to go to the airport unless notified directly by Emirates, or hold a confirmed booking for these flights".
"Customers are advised to check flight status, review the latest operational updates on http://emirat.es/travelupdates, and check their email for any notifications about changes or cancellations to their flights before travelling to the airport," the statement added.
The airline said it continues to "monitor the situation, and will develop our operational schedule accordingly".
