The World Anti-Doping Agency has appointed a new director. At a time when the body is in crisis, Oliver Niggli will take over from David Howman as his tenure comes to an end in June. The organisation conducted an independent inquiry when allegations of widespread doping were made. The investigation found evidence of extensive doping by Russian track and field athletes. This led to the International Association of Athletics Federations suspending the country from athletes.
