India have won their Test series against South Africa with a game to spare. A 124-run win in the second match gives them an unassailable 2-0 lead in the four-game series. Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took 7-66 for the hosts as South Africa fell for 185 all out in a chase of 345. It was India’s eighth win in their last nine Tests at home, with the other being a draw in the rain-affected second Test against the Proteas. Meanwhile, it’s the first Test series that the tourists have lost away from home since 2006 in Sri Lanka.
