Sotheby’s, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, has unveiled a remarkable collection of diamonds, including a rare 10.03-carat Fancy Vivid Blue diamond, named 'The Mediterranean Blue'.
This extraordinary gem is the highlight of Sotheby’s first public exhibition in Abu Dhabi since 2009, taking place at the Bassam Freiha Art Foundation on Saadiyat Island.
The exhibition features an unparalleled selection of diamonds, including the world’s largest flawless diamond, the largest vivid orangey pink diamond, and several diamonds over 100 carats.
These gems, valued in the millions, represent the pinnacle of nature’s beauty. The exhibition is open to the public daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM until April 10.
'The Mediterranean Blue' will take centre-stage in Geneva during Sotheby’s sale of High Jewellery on May 13, marking its market debut with an estimated value of $20 million.
