A special event in Dubai has brought together content creators from across the region to focus on humanitarian storytelling.
Organised by Creators HQ — the UAE and Middle East’s first dedicated space for influencers — in partnership with Meta and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), the event highlighted how digital platforms can be used to raise awareness around displacement and social issues.
The gathering is part of the Content for Good initiative, aimed at encouraging creators in the Middle East to engage with humanitarian causes and share stories that often go unheard.
Dr. Khaled Khalifa, UNHCR’s Senior Advisor & Representative to the GCC, praised the UAE’s commitment to supporting displaced communities, highlighting the urgent need for global solidarity amid rising challenges and funding gaps.
The programme featured powerful storytelling through video reels, a photo exhibition, musical performances and interactive experiences, including a donation map that lit up with every contribution. Visitors also supported refugee artisans through a pop-up shop selling handcrafted goods.
The initiative served as a reminder of the potential for digital content to inform, engage and mobilise support for humanitarian efforts.
