Younger people are more susceptible to online attacks, a new study suggests. Norton’s latest cybersecurity report says two million people in the UAE have been affected by cyber crimes, losing about AED 4.9 billion to hackers. The firm found more millennials –those aged between 18 and 34 – have been impacted by these attacks. Some 42% of them said they were affected by cyber crime, compared to 27% of the older generation. Tamim Toufiq, the Middle East Manager at Norton Business Unit, said 15% of millennials have been impacted by identity theft compared to 7% of those older.

Toufiq also predicts more attacks on mobile devices in the next six to 12 months, as more customers purchase them but fail to ensure they're secure.
