UAE welcomes Armenia, Azerbaijan agreement

The UAE has welcomed the agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the delimitation and demarcation of land borders.

The UAE expressed hope that the agreement over four villages will strengthen communication and dialogue, and contribute to constructive cooperation in the Caucasus region.

In a statement, Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, emphasised that the development represents an important step towards a comprehensive peace agreement that bolsters peace on both regional and international levels.

Al Sayegh affirmed that the UAE holds close and distinguished ties with both Azerbaijan Armenia, and underscored the country’s commitment to reinforce peace and stability in the region.
