A fourth UAE emergency relief shipment has arrived in Socotra following the devastation of cyclones Chapala and Megh. The aid ship carrying 750 tonnes of food and aid supplies was dispatched by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, under the directive of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the follow-up of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs. The shipment included 450 tonnes of food and 300 tonnes of diesel fuel to help people affected by the twin disasters. Since June, the Khalifa foundation has sent 16 air bridge flights carrying 615 tonnes of aid, and four ships carrying 10,750 tonnes of food and medicine. In total, the foundation has provided 11,365 tonnes of emergency relief supplies to aid the people of Yemen.
