The UAE has responded swiftly to the devastating earthquake that struck eastern Afghanistan, sending urgent aid and rescue teams to assist those affected.
Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a search and rescue team, made up of members from Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, the National Guard and the Joint Operations Command, has been dispatched to support on-the-ground relief efforts.
Alongside the rescue mission, the UAE has also sent critical humanitarian aid, including food, medical supplies and shelter tents to help ease the suffering of those injured or displaced by the disaster.
This response reflects the UAE’s commitment to international humanitarian work and its dedication to standing by communities in crisis.
