UAE reaffirms commitment to combatting human trafficking

The UAE has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to fighting human trafficking.

Speaking on the occasion of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, observed annually on July 30, Minister of Justice, Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi called the crime a violation of human dignity.

Al Nuaimi, who also chairs the National Committee for Combatting Human Trafficking, highlighted the UAE's efforts to build a robust digital framework rooted in justice and transparency.

He noted the UAE’s use of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to streamline procedures and strengthen coordination among authorities, ultimately supporting victims and ensuring justice is served.

The minister also called for stronger international cooperation, saying the UAE is committed to working closely with global partners and sharing expertise to tackle trafficking on a broader scale.

He concluded by calling for unified global action, noting that ending human trafficking is a shared responsibility.
