UAE President urges youth to drive innovation while honouring national values

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has reaffirmed that empowering citizens to shape the UAE’s future remains a top priority.

In a statement marking the 54th Eid Al Etihad, His Highness highlighted that the Emirati people are the foundation and driving force of the nation’s development.

He called on all members of society and key institutions to focus on moral and ethical guidance for younger generations, while preserving the UAE’s national identity, values, and the Arabic language.

The President also reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to global peace and stability, supporting diplomatic solutions to regional and international conflicts.

Highlighting the role of families and communities in national progress, he noted the establishment of the Ministry of Family and the renaming of the Ministry of Community Development to the Ministry of Community Empowerment, with expanded responsibilities.

He also highlighted plans for 2026 to be the Year of the Family, following 2025 as the Year of the Community.

Sheikh Mohamed stressed that education and youth development remain key priorities, with efforts to align education with national development, promote lifelong learning, and empower young Emiratis to succeed across all sectors of the economy.

On sustainability, His Highness reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to environmental protection, renewable energy and climate neutrality by 2050, while continuing to foster economic partnerships and global cooperation.

The President emphasized that the UAE will maintain its humanitarian efforts worldwide, supporting communities affected by conflict and disaster, in line with the nation’s long-standing values of peace, cooperation and development.
