The UAE has established the "UAE National Orchestra," as the country looks to enhance its artistic diversity and celebrate the country's musical heritage.

It was created under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Minister of State and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the UAE National Orchestra, Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, will lead the orchestra’s efforts to develop the music sector in the country and support promising talents in this field, with the aim of enhancing the role of music and arts as a common language between different cultures and peoples, and conveying Emirati arts and culture to the world.

Her Excellency said, “Through the UAE National Orchestra, we seek to enhance and promote our local culture and arts, to build bridges of communication with other world cultures, especially since the orchestra will be a source of inspiration and an effective and influential driver in local and global communities, through which we affirm our commitment to supporting creativity and artistic excellence.”

The UAE National Orchestra will hold a series of auditions for musicians and singers who wish to join this ambitious initiative. The auditions target musicians from all artistic backgrounds, as well as talents from various musical styles, whether Arab or Western, from the age of 18 and above. Special attention will be given to nurturing and developing Emirati musicians. Selected artists will be offered full-time employment opportunities, with competitive incentives and allowances.

Musicians and artists wishing to register to participate in the auditions can visit the website, submit the application form and attach it with a recorded clip showcasing their musical talent, no later than January 26, 2025.
