The UAE's Ministry of Interior has urged the public to exercise caution as unstable weather conditions are expected in parts of the country for a few days, until Wednesday, April 17.

Taking to their official social media platform, the Ministry called on the public to "adhere to the directives of the authorities, safety requirements and guidelines during the fluctuations in the weather".

The authority also reminded the public to rely only on information from official sources and to refrain from circulating rumours.

According to the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM), rainfall of varying intensities, along with thunder, lightning and hail, will hit parts of Abu Dhabi and Northern and Eastern parts of the country from Monday evening.

Western parts and "scattered areas of the country" will face more unstable weather from Tuesday evening, while Eastern and Northern parts will be hit from Wednesday afternoon.

The weather is set to clear by Wednesday night.

The NCM urged residents to "take all precautions and follow safety measures and to stay away from areas of flooding and water accumulation".
