Grand festivities are being lined up once again to mark the UAE’s National Day on December 2.

A theatrical performance highlighting the country’s culture and history will be the centrepiece of celebrations.

The show called 'Legacy of Our Ancestors' will be staged at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Sports City Stadium.

It’s inspired by local folklore and will take spectators through an immersive experience of live performances, as well as stunning visual and sound effects.

"The epic scale of this production, coupled with the rich tapestry of values derived from our most precious of stories, will ensure ‘Legacy of Our Ancestors’ reaches a theatrical level never experienced before in the UAE," said Saeed Al Suwaidi, Representative of the organising committee of the official 48th UAE National Day Celebration.
