UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his Lebanese counterpart Najib Mikati have agreed to take the necessary steps to reopen the UAE Embassy in Beirut during a meeting in Abu Dhabi's Qasr Al-Shati.
The leaders also agreed to establish a joint committee to develop a mechanism to facilitate the issuance of entry visas for Lebanese citizens to the UAE.
The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties, particularly in development and economy, and exchanged views on regional and global matters.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed the UAE's ongoing support for Lebanon's unity, sovereignty and well-being, rooted in historical ties, while Mikati acknowledged the UAE's continuous aid and support, emphasising its positive impact on Lebanon.
