President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the death of former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also dispatched a similar message of condolences to Putin.
The funeral of Gorbachev, who died on Tuesday in Moscow aged 91, will take place on Saturday in the famous Hall of Columns inside Moscow's House of Unions.
