An emergency power plant provided by the UAE is up and running in Aden. According to national news agency WAM, the station is part of the humanitarian aid for the war-torn country, and is lighting up neighbourhoods destroyed by the Houthi rebels. The AED 217 million power grid is the latest in a number of initiatives by the UAE in Yemen. Recent developments include the re-opening of the largest hospital in Aden, four schools, a kindergarten and a police station.
