UAE has most powerful passport in MENA

The UAE passport is the most powerful in the Middle East and North African region. That’s according to Henley & Partners, who help expats get resident and visit visas around the world. Their Visa Restrictions Index measures travel freedom. Dominik Zunkovic from Henley & Partners says diplomatic relations, security risks and the chance of immigration violations all play a part.

Zunkovic said UAE jumped from 55th to 40th place, aided mainly by the addition of visa-free travel to the 26 countries in the Schengen zone.
