UAE food aid enters Gaza through Rafah Crossing

Food aid from the UAE has entered the Gaza Strip through the Rafah Crossing, under the Ahmed bin Rashid Humanitarian Bridge.

The initiative is run by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) together with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.

The delivery follows a series of aid flights from Al Maktoum International Airport. It is part of efforts to deliver more than 10 million meals to people in Gaza, in honour of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 team at the UAE’s aid logistics centre in the Egyptian city of Al Arish prepared and loaded the supplies before transporting them to the crossing.

The meals were packed earlier at a large community event at the Dubai World Trade Centre, which drew wide public participation.
