UAE field hospital staff briefs UN delegation on Gaza healthcare support

A high-level UN delegation has been briefed on the UAE's efforts to bolster the healthcare sector in Gaza during a visit to its field hospital in the strip.

The delegation, led by Dr. Ramiz Alakbarov, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in the Palestinian territories, reviewed the medical and humanitarian services provided to the wounded and injured at the hospital as well as the processes in place for emergencies and round-the-clock surgeries. 

The team also received an overview of how the 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3' warehouses functions and where the equipment and aid are stocked and how its distributed efficiently.  

Dr. Alakbarov commended the UAE’s humanitarian role and highlighted how the country's efforts to organise the first mass wedding in Gaza has gone a long way in building hope and resilience in the community.
