The UAE has continued its humanitarian mission to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, conducting its 65th airdrop of relief supplies and dispatching 21 aid trucks via designated land crossings.
The mission - carried out in coordination with Jordan and with the participation of Germany and Belgium - targeted areas inaccessible by land due to ongoing conflict and deteriorating field conditions. Under the Birds of Goodness initiative and as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the airdrop delivered food items and emergency supplies intended to alleviate the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
To date, the total amount of aid delivered by air has exceeded 3,800 tonnes, while the most recent aid land crossing transported over 500 tonnes of food supplies.
These efforts come amid alarming warnings from international health authorities. On Thursday, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) reported that the enclave is now witnessing its highest monthly rate of acute malnutrition among children since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza. Hunger-related deaths are continuing to rise, highlighting the urgent need for sustained humanitarian access.
The UAE reaffirmed its commitment to working with international and regional partners to maintain and expand humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza by air, land and sea.
