The UAE has strongly condemned a car-ramming attack that occurred during a Filipino community festival in Canada's Vancouver, that left at least 11 people dead and dozens injured.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the country’s firm rejection of all forms of violence that target innocent people and threaten security and stability.
The ministry extended its solidarity to the governments and people of both Canada and the Philippines in the wake of the tragic incident, offering heartfelt condolences and wishing a swift recovery for those injured.
Canadian prosecutors have charged a 30-year-old Vancouver resident with murder after he rammed an SUV through a crowd at the festival in the western Canadian city.
