The UAE has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a church during a Sunday service in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, resulting in the death and injuries of dozens of people.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) affirmed that the UAE expressed its permanent rejection of all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability of the region.
The ministry expressed its solidarity with Congo and its people and its sympathies with the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
At least five people were killed and 15 wounded in a suspected militant bomb attack during a Sunday service at a church in the eastern Congolese city of Kasindi, on the border with Uganda.
