Flights operated by Iranian airlines to and from the UAE have been suspended until further notice, according to the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
The authority said the decision took effect on Thursday, September 24, and follows a US ban on Iranian airlines using airports in a number of countries around the world.
The GCAA added that it will continue to provide updates to the public and relevant authorities on any developments concerning air services between the UAE and Iran.
It also urged the public to obtain information only from official and authorised sources.
