The UAE weather bureau has advised road users to avoid driving during rainy conditions, with a yellow and orange alert issued that expects hazardous conditions to continue until early morning on Friday.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) released an alert highlighting the presence of convective clouds around several areas in the UAE that are predicted to remain until 7:45 am on Friday.

The weather bureau urged motorists to only drive if "absolutely necessary", advising those driving to remain alert, turn on low-beam lights when visibility is reduced, and follow weather reports closely.

Several authorities in the UAE have also warned residents of the ongoing adverse conditions.
Abu Dhabi Police advised motorists to follow the changing speed limits displayed on electronic signs across the roads.
