Two dead, 12 injured after bus catches fire in Dubai

Two people have died and 12 others injured in a car accident on Sheikh Zayed Road on Sunday morning.

According to the Dubai Police, the incident occurred when a minibus swerved off the road and crashed into a road barrier on Al Manara Bridge, towards Jebel Ali, before catching fire.

Ambulances were quick to the scene and rushed the injured passengers to Rashid Hospital for treatment.

Initial investigation has revealed that the driver had lost control of the vehicle.

Motorists are reminded to exercise caution while driving and to avoid exceeding speed limits.
