Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has held separate meetings with Bangladeshi Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman, and Comoros President, Azali Assoumani, in New York.
The meetings were held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During his meeting with Rahman, Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with Bangladesh and expand areas of cooperation in key sectors.
Latest regional and international developments were also on the agenda, national news agency Wam reported on Saturday.
During talks with Comoros leader Assoumani, the UAE minister also discussed bilateral relations and prospects for joint cooperation in several areas, including economic, trade and development fields.
Sheikh Abdullah also attended the inaugural UAE Investment Majlis that brought together senior government officials, global decision-makers, prominent investors and thought leaders to exchange views on emerging economic issues and strategic investment priorities.
Jointly hosted by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Investment, the 2026 edition was held under the theme "Resilient Supply Chains and Smart Logistics".
It showcased the UAE's investment ecosystem and business environment, while supporting stronger economic diplomacy through public-private engagement.
The agenda covered major global connectivity initiatives, including the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor and Pax Silica, and their contribution to international trade, resilient supply chains and sustainable economic growth.
