Residents of Sharjah’s Al Nasser Tower are still waiting to move back into their homes more than 50 days after a fire devastated the 34-storey residential tower on King Faisal Road. Around 250 families became homeless after the fire ripped through the building on the first of October. A Sharjah Civil Defence report stated that the building did not have an emergency alarm system and that the firefighting equipment available was not operational. The blaze affected around a dozen apartments in the high-rise building and also damaged cars that were parked in the area. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
