Dubai government entities will be allowed to implement a remote working system on Fridays during Ramadan.

Seventy per cent of employees can work remotely as per the directives issued by Dubai's Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The move is in line with an earlier directive issued by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for employees of federal government departments.

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) said working hours during Ramadan will be 9:00 am to 14:30 pm, Monday -Thursday; and 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Fridays, except for employees whose work requires them to be on a separate shift schedule.
