If you are applying for a residence visa today, make sure you have all your original documents. As of today, the General Director for Residence and Foreign Affairs (GDFRA) will no longer accept photocopies for residence visa applications. Applicants will have to bring their Emirates ID, as well as the Emirates ID of the sponsor, and bank details when submitting the application.
