In an update on a previously reported incident at Habshan gas facilities, Abu Dhabi authorities have confirmed one person has died and four others sustained minor injuries.
The incident occurred after falling debris, following a successful interception by air defence systems, sparked two fires at the site.
Emergency response teams moved quickly to contain the situation, bringing both fires under control.
The site has sustained significant damage, and a full assessment is now in progress.
Authorities added that the victim, an Egyptian national, lost his life during the evacuation of the site. The injured include two Pakistani nationals and two Egyptian nationals.
