Abu Dhabi’s new toll gate system, DARB, has received a major response as over 70,000 people sign up in the first week.

The emirate’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) issued a post on social media thanking everyone for their cooperation.

It invited others to register and activate their accounts via the ITC website or by downloading the DARB app.

The system goes live on January 2 and will be in operation during peak hours on four bridges leading into Abu Dhabi.

A fee of AED 4 will be charged for each crossing.
