 
                                    Police in Ajman have arrested a man on charges of selling and storing counterfeit vehicle lubricants bearing names of prominent brands.
Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, said that an investigation was launched after the Al Hamidiyah Police Station received a tip-off about a warehouse that was used for the production, storage and distribution of fake car oils and lubricants.
A special investigative team raided the facility in the New Industrial Area, and seized large quantities of counterfeit oils.
Further investigations revealed that the suspect was also involved in a previous case filed at the city police station.
Police later carried out a search operation at the suspect's residence, from where they found significant quantities of fake lubricants.
The man has confessed to the charges, and the case has been referred to the public prosecution.
