His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has reviewed the AED3billion Beach Development Plan to turn Dubai into the world's best city to live in by 2040.
"Work has commenced, and our teams continue to deliver at pace," His Highness said while touring one of the projects nearing completion on Al Mamzar Beach.
It convert Mamzar into one of Dubai’s leading family beach destinations, capable of accommodating 7 million visitors annually and spanning an area of 4 million square feet.
Featuring an investment of AED500 million, the Al Mamzar Beaches development project is one of Dubai Municipality’s flagship strategic projects. It aims to increase beach capacity for tourists and visitors by 170 per cent.
"The pace of our projects will continue to accelerate. We remain committed to a clear development agenda, with even greater achievements ahead," Sheikh Mohammed wrote on X.

Al Mamzar Beaches Development Project
- Part of an AED 3 billion portfolio of premium beachfront developments across key locations
- Aligns with the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, which focuses on enhancing open public spaces, promoting healthy lifestyles, and improving community wellbeing
- Supports the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan by advancing beachfront development and strengthening urban infrastructure
- It will feature the world’s first 24|7 women-only beach, offering night swimming, a floating walkway at Al Mamzar Lagoon - the first of its kind in the region - and a waterfront restaurant
