Questions related to pool and beach safety are once again being raised following two fatal incidents in Sharjah over the weekend. According to reports, an 11-year-old African girl drowned in her building’s swimming pool in Al Nahda, while in a separate incident, an elderly Swiss expat drowned off Al Khan beach. Authorities reiterated calls for residents to exercise caution while in the water and to heed weather warnings.
