100 per cent of the energy that'll be used during Expo 2020 Dubai will be generated from renewable sources.
That's according to the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), which says it'll generate, transmit and distribute energy through smart grids with much of the power coming from the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.
DEWA has allocated a budget of AED 4.26 billion in support of the electricity and water infrastructure for Expo.
Visitors to the mega event will also be encouraged to use environmentally friendly vehicles with 'Green Charger' stations installed across the venue.
